I am the Extension Educator for Children, Youth, Families and Communities.  In addition , I oversee the Family Nutrition Program.  I have been with Extension since June of 2002.  My background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Western Michigan University and a Master of Science degree in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University.

As the Extension Educator for Children, Youth and Families it is my responsibility to promote programs that enhance family strengths, identify needs and provide education that improves the quality of life at home and within the community.  Current program target areas include parenting, family resource management, and food and nutrition education.  Also, I continually promote the Family Nutrition Program.  This educational program is free to eligible families and promotes the Food Guide Pyramid, understanding food labels, meal planning, making the most of food dollars, and food safety.

In addition to devising programs based upon identified community needs, I routinely collaborate with local service agencies to compliment existing services.
